Silver Innings Helpline inspired by 'Satyamev Jayate - Old Age: Sunset Years, Sunshine Life' episode is an effort by Silver Innings ® to create a common platform of resources and services for the Elders and their Family members, launched on 16 Feb, 2014.
It's a first of it's kind Referral Helpline Portal in India dedicated to provide need based information to Senior citizens and their family members. It’s an effort to create a comprehensive search engine where the elders can get information and get themselves connected to everything they need to lead a happy and contented life.
Our mission is to help elders age gracefully and celebrate their silver years.
Silver Innings, a registered trademark, a Social Enterprise (For Profit) was formed to provide need based services to elders with the launch of a dedicated and comprehensive website for Senior Citizens on 10 April, 2008.
The social enterprise opened a platform for discussing issues regarding the elderly and soon a need for an NGO emerged. Taking on this need, Silver Innings Foundation was born to address the micro and macro level issues of the elderly to create an elder friendly world.
Known as 'Son to a million parents' in Elder care globally, Sailesh Mishra is the Founder President of “Silver Inning Foundation” an NGO working towards creating Elder Friendly World where ageing becomes a positive and rewarding experience.
Sailesh left his well paid corporate job to pursue his passion to work with Senior Citizens, which he believes is the most neglected and ignored segment. His work in the field of Dementia/Alzheimers has not gone unrecognized. He founded the “A1 Snehanjali”, a Care-Home at Nalasopara (West) making it one of its kind first elder care facility exclusively dedicated for elders suffering from dementia, alzheimer’s, parkinson etc. in Mumbai.
His down to earth attitude and eager willingness to help others has made him a well known figure in the social sector globally.
Ramaa, is a family person with a passion to serve the society and believes that "change begins with us". Her commitment towards the elders comes from her own experience of struggling between cities looking after elders in her family.
With little or no help with whom she can leave them made her wonder how people less privileged than her manage their life in similar situation. Her interaction with Mr. Sailesh Mishra, inspired her to initiate the silverinnings helpline to help the elders and their family members.
